Painter: Give Me Polygraph In Spirko Case Page 5 of 5 In fact, Hartman wrote, "I read this as an ex-convict trying to do a favor for Spirko, a convict; and that Willier has a beef with Dingus." Still, after speaking with Latham, Hartman recommended that if the Washington investigators wanted to interview Willier they "bring along the polygraph examiner, so that we can work this out and get to the bottom of the entire matter." But after he spoke to Hartman on Sept. 9, 1997, Latham said he never heard from postal authorities. Latham met with Willier again, along with Spirko's attorneys, two years later and reported that no one had contacted Willier either. Willier said on Friday that he has heard nothing from anyone since. He said he initially talked to Latham in hopes of bringing attention to the issues because things didn't seem right. Now he would like to clarify them for good and move on. "Just to clear people's minds, hey, let's get it on.
