Mr. Wilier told me, among other things, that the sexual encounter was a consensual one. Following our conversation about Ms. Thomas's allegation, Mr. Willier made a comment to me that he had been accused of something a long time ago that he did not do, and that he has been living with for a long time. I replied by saying the names "Betty Jane Mottinger" and "John Spirko." Mr. Willier was clearly shaken upon hearing me say those names. We then discussed Mrs. Mottinger's murder and Mr. Spirko's conviction for that murder, and Mr. Willier said that he he wanted to tell me some things that he had never told investigatorss for either the defense or the prosecution. Mr. Willier told me he needed a cigarette. I asked him if he wanted to take a ride. He said he did. We then got into my car and took a drive north of Upper Sandusky, where he began to tell me about the involvement in Mrs. Mottinger's kidnapping and murder of an individual name Dale Dingus, of Findlay, Ohio, as well as Mr. Dingus's wife. During our conversation, he indicated that Mr. Dingus and his wife were present at the Post Office the day that Mottinger was abducted. He further told me that Mr. Dingus, along with a black male Mr. Willier knows only as "Tony,"who resides in Findlay, were involved heavily in drug trafficking at that time, and he had a connection from Chicago, Illinois, who had sent them a shipment of heroin in a package that was delivered to the Post Office in Elgin. When they went there to pick up the package, something went wrong -- Mr. Willier does not know what -- and Mr. Willier indicated that Mr. Dingus told him that his wife grabbed Mrs. Mottinger and that the kidnapping took place after that.
